Our high-quality science curriculum is designed to be ambitious and inspiring but ensuring that key concepts and knowledge are covered effectively.  Key skills and knowledge in biology, chemistry and physics are developed over the years through a programme of revisiting and extending, in accordance with the National Curriculum.  We want our children to develop an absolute love of science and ensure our curriculum gives lots of practical enquiries to deepen their love of the subject.  We are very fortunate to have strong links with local science and research parks and our children have benefitted from working on projects such as extracting DNA from plants and supporting the Genome Campus work on collecting insects for their DNA project.  

Every year we take several groups of children to the Big Bang Science Fair based at Herts & Essex High School.  In order to go our children have to plan, carry out and present an independent research project.  Every year our children have won some awards.  Here a few recent entries.
